Dep Thushara is born in 1974 and belongs to the young generations
of artists practicing currently in Sri Lanka, He had his formative
art education at the Vibhave Academy of Fine Arts, an prominent
alternative art school in Sri Lanka and further training at the
Sri Lanka National Design Centre where he obtained a Diploma in
Design.
Dep Thushara has been practicing as a sculptor over seven years
in Sri Lanka and has had number group exhibitions. He had a successful
solo show at the Paradise Road Galleries in 2003 and have won
many awards for his artwork. He live and practice art based in
Sri Lanka.
