Born in December 1948 at Nittambuwa, Sri Lanka E. Rubert Soysa
received primary and secondary education at the Roman Catholic
school in his hometown. He had is art education at the Government
School of Fine Arts where he received a Bachelor of Fine Arts
degree in 1973.
He has taken part in number of international events such as 2nd
Asian Arts Show in Fukuoka, Japan in 1985 and 6th Triennial in
New Delhi, India. In the same year his work was shown in the Contemporary
Asian Art show in Seoul, Korea, 3rd Asian Biennale of art, Bangladesh,
international art exhibitions in Sofia, Bulgaria and Havana, Cuba.
He has had number of solo and group exhibition in Sri Lanka and
abroad.
