Born in 1963 in Sri Lanka he obtained his art education at the
Institute of Aesthetic Studies, University of Kelaniya, Sri Lanka
where he obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree. He continued education
at the Postgraduate Institute of Archeology, University of Kelaniya
where he received a Postgraduate Diploma in Archeology in 1991.
He has exhibited in number of solo and group exhibitions and have
participated in many international events such as the 10th Asian
Art Biennale, Bangladesh (1997) and International Artists Camp
held in Sri Lanka (1998, 2000 and 2001) and 9th Triennial International
Artist Camp, New Delhi, India (1997). His work is in number of
private collection. In addition to practicing art he is also engaged
in teaching as a visiting lecturer at the Institute of Aesthetic
Studies, University of Kelaniya, Sri Lanka.
