Art Today, Manoranjana Herath

Manoranjana Herath is born in 1970, Sri Lanka, He had his art education at the Institute of Aesthetic Studies, University of Kelaniya, Sri Lanka from where he received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree majoring in sculpture in 1997. He followed a Masters in Fine Arts degree at the Delhi University, India.

Manoranjana has been practicing as a sculptor over seven years in Sri Lanka and have had number of solo and group exhibitions. His solo exhibitions were held in 1990 and 1993 at the E. L. Senanayake Library Hall in Kandy, 1997 at the Heritage Gallery, 1998 at the Mount Castle Gallery, 1999 and 2001 at the Lionel Wendt Gallery and 1999 at the Paradise Road Galleries. He has taken part in number of international artists’ camps held in Sri Lanka and have won many awards for his artwork. He live and practice art based in Sri Lanka.
