“My work finds its theme in the contemporary Sri Lankan political and social situation. For nearly twenty years Sri Lanka has been experiencing an armed conflict that is being identified as ethnic conflict, freedom struggle, terrorism etc. It is also a conflict for the ownership of a particular geographical territory. Whatever one chooses to call it, the reality is that there are mass deaths and violence, refugees, victims of war being created daily”- T. P.G. Amerajeewa
